This is a portrait of my grandmother, a woman of strength, love, and endless care. For so much of her life she lived for others, giving, supporting, and never asking. After my grandfather passed away, she finally found the space to turn that care inward and choose for herself.

The background, inspired by a kitchen towel, reflects all those years of devotion. Here it becomes something she can gently set aside as she looks ahead with lightness and hope.

Through her, I have learned not to fear growing older, because she embraces it with such grace and joy.
