Mourning knows no time
Inspired by the traditional clothing of the town Bunschoten-Spakenburg in the Netherlands and the towns outlook on grief and the use of different fabrics in this process, I have created this tryptic depicting women in different stages of grief.

The work ‘Donkerpaars’ was featured in the exhibition ‘ANTIBODIES’ at the Egyptian Academy in Rome.
This exhibition explored art’s role as a social antibody; a force that not only responds, resists, and reflects the world around us, but also questions and reinterprets societal challenges, highlighting the complexities and contradictions that shape our world today.
A unique opportunity that I’m glad to have been part of.
